David Burden - Managing Director @davidburden
David is a Chartered and European Engineer who started his career in army communications managing a range of mobile and wireless systems in a variety of challenging situations, including second-in-command of an airmobile Signal Squadron. After being "demobbed" in 1990, David joined Ascom, the Swiss telecoms company, and then Aseriti, the £70m turnover IT arm of Severn Trent plc.

David has been involved in immersive worlds since the mid 90's, having created early spaces using VRML and played in several early 3D communal worlds. David also has a keen interest in artificial intelligence, speaking recently at TEDxBrum on the subject of AI and Immortality. David set up Daden Limited in 2004 to help business and organisations explore and exploit the social and commercial potential of using chatbots and immersive environments.

Lucy Smallwood-Rose - Marketing Executive @lsmallwoodrose
Before joining Daden in 2010, Lucy worked in the legal sector for two years, after leaving University. During those two years she worked her way up the company from Admin Clerk to Marketing Assistant, at which point she decided to join Daden. Lucy's main responsibilities have changed over the last two years since joining Daden, but is involved with all marketing and business development duties, while also studying at night school to gain her CIM Marketing Qualifications.

Darrell Smith - Project Manager
Darrell joined Daden in 2011. He has over fifteen years experience as a project manager and development team leader, successfully delivering bespoke systems for public sector and industrial customers. Darrell is a Prince 2 Practitioner (OGC) , a MSP Practitioner (OGC) and a CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional (ISC)2.

Iain Brazendale - Senior 3D Developer
Iain is a senior software engineer who joined Daden in 2011 with over 20 years experience of the IT industry and developing software. He has a wide range of skills from embedded low level systems through to high level desktop and web applications and knowledge of a range of programming languages and databases including MySQL, Assembler, C, C++ to C# and virtual world platform including Unity and OpenSim.

Paul Rahme - 3D Developer
Paul spent 10 years working in the games industry, doing avatar and story-driven games in both 2D and 3D on Nintendo Gameboy Advance, Xbox, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and PC. He has, among other skills, extensive experience in character control, gameplay & user interface, camera control, cutscenes and story progression.. Paul joined Daden in 2011 as a Unity programmer.

MacDonald Mbaya - 3D Developer
A recent graduate in computer science where he gained academic experience of SQL, Java, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Microsoft Office Suite, IBM Rational Rose and ASP. Since joining Daden in 2012 MacDonald has been involved on both Unity and OpenSim projects working with the senior developers on testing the software, scenario development, programming and developing the front-end interfaces.
