Software Systems

We are great believers in web delivered, web-native applications. The minute you install an application on a PC you face a whole variety of issues such as updating the code, having access to the PC when you need the application, integrating the application with other systems, developing a simple user interface and so on. With web-native applications the code stays on the server, the user can use any web connected PC, and ideally any web-connected device, updates are made just to the server and are then instantly available to all, and integration is easy through any of the available web services.

As a result all our applications are web-native and offered under an ASP (Application Service Provision) licence. We will of course produce locally hosted code if required, but it will always cost more.


Consulting

We strongly believe that much of marketing, strategy and technology communications is over complicated - and as a result objectives are unclear and analysis can be poor. As a result we are great fans of havnig simple, rigourous models to guide analysis, communications and implementation. Models help clarify issues, order thinking, and ease communications. Rigorous models also obey the MECE principle - mutually exclusive, mutually exhaustive. This isn't though a case of trying to shoe-horn your company or your problem into a fixed model. Our models are primarily analysis tools to help us all understand and comunicate better. We can then work with you to develop specific solutions to your needs - and can even develop bespoke models for that too.

Standing above individual models are the meta-models - complete thought-maps for key business processes. Meta-models pose questions, and then if answers need developing, refining or communciating provide you with the models to complete the task. Meta-models put models in context.

Life
