Modules

We use modules to provide the chatbot with functionality over and above that provided by the cases. Modules available or under development include:

• Amazon - The chatbot looks up a book title or author on Amazon, and can return pricing and availability, and even book reviews.
• Google - The chatbot can look up a word or phrase on Google.
• Send Email - The chatbot can send an email from the user to any email address.
• Survey - The chatbot can ask the visitors a number of questions and collect the answers. These can then be imported into any standard analysis tool
• RSS - The chatbot can read a Rich Site Summary (RSS) XML feed to gather data from other web sites and provide that to the user through the conversation.
• Page Grab - The chatbot can retrieve a web page, and extract from it the specific piece of information needed to answer a question
• FAQ Harvester - The chatbot can read the FAQ page(s) on a web site and use that to help answer questions.
• Page Harvester - The chatbot can read a web page and use that to help answer questions.
• Web Service Interface - The chatbot can use web services to access your own applications to answer visitor questions.
• Mail Reader - The chatbot can read read emails from a nominated mail account.
• Mail/SMS Alert - The chatbot can provide email or SMS alerts on certain conditions (eg session or keyword triggers), or to provide confirmation or follow up information to vistors.
• User Memory - Lets the chatbot remember visitors from one session to the next.
• Time, News and Weather - Lets the chatbot remember provide real time news, time and weather information.
• Message Taking - Lets the chatbot store messages from users for later retrieval by other users.
• Gossip - Lets the chatbot remember what visitor say, and repeat it to other visitors.
• Wikipedia - Lets the chatbot access the Wikipedia in order to look up facts that the chatbot doesn't know..
• Quiz - Lets the chatbot run a quiz, score users and store answers.
• Fortune Teller - Lets the chatbot read a visitor's fortune.
• Games - Lets the chatbot play simple games with your visitors.
• Jokes - Lets the chatbot share jokes with your visitors.
