Enterprise Virtual Worlds to be worth $10 billion by 2014

Analyst network GigaOm has just released a new report on the enterprise use of virtual worlds. They expect the enterprise virtual world market to reach "a critical mass in the next 12-24 months and doubling year over year", and to "grow into an industry earning $8 billion to $10 billion in annual revenue by 2014". Their conclusion - "companies large and small should immediately start pilot programs based around virtual worlds because the technology is delivering cost savings and improved operations. The time to begin is now."
