DADEN WINS PRESTIGIOUS INNOVATION AWARD
Virtual Worlds agency Daden Limited beat off stiff competition from real world companies to win the West Midlands ICT (Information Communication Technology) Excellence in Innovation (Service) Award at the West Midlands ICT Excellence Awards.
These awards are designed to recognise the talents of the region's growing ICT sector. The Excellence in Innovation (Service) Award is awarded for the most innovative service introduced by an ICT business in the last year.
“Just making it through to the finals was a great achievement and our success on the night proves that Virtual Worlds are making serious inroads into mainstream business.” said David Burden, Managing Director of Daden Limited.
“It’s the culmination of over ten years work and recognizes that Virtual Worlds are at the forefront of cutting edge technology for businesses” he continued. “At first we weren't planning to enter the competition but were persuaded to do so, almost at the eleventh hour, by David Wortley from the Serious Games Institute.
The awards were presented during an evening drinks reception at the National Motorcycle Museum on 22 November 2007. The event was well attended by the cream of West Midlands high tech companies. The awards were presented by Scott Dodds, General Director of Microsoft Small Business Division.
