Student Projects
Here is a list of some of the ideas we've had, but haven't had time to do anything about. If you'd like to use them as the basis for a student project then please let us know and we'll supply more information. A few might even have bounties on them! Whilst most are suitable for undergraduate projects, some could be extended into postgrad projects, and a few may even be the start of a PhD. If the project need/would benefit from Daden software. such as PIVOTE or Discourse, then we'll provide a free licence, training and support. Contact david.burden@daden.co.uk for more details.

For each project we've tried to provide the following information:
- Brief overview of the project
- Educational aims of the project i.e. to compare or contrast something, to investigate and develop etc, so that the project meets the academic aim.
- A clear example of something similar or in the field.
- List of Skills I think a candidate might need.
- What the student might get out of the project.
- A brief time plan, i.e. background research, Development, testing.
Thanks to Stuart Slater at the University of Wolverhampton for that list.
IP
It is assumed that the IP developed as a result of any project will either be shared jointly between Daden and the University, or released as open-source.
Publication
We are particularly keen to support projects that lead to publication, and can support the writing effort.
RSS Feeds
An RSS feed is available so you can mash this up on your internal systems with similar feeds from other organisations!
We encourage other companies to produce and publish similar lists and RSS feeds. We're also happy to host a list/OPML of such feeds from West Midlands businesses for the use of West Midlands HEIs. Get in touch if you're interested.
