Daden Limited is committed to protecting your privacy online. We are also committed to providing you with the very best experience we can on our web sites and mobile services. In order to enhance your experience at our site we may gather certain personal information about you that helps us customize our content to your tastes and preferences. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of our Web site. This policy may change from time to time so please check back periodically.

If you choose to use our websites, apps and Services, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation with this policy. The Personal Information that we collect are used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same meanings as in our Terms and Conditions/EULAs, unless otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy.

The legal basis for using your information

The legal basis depends on the circumstances in which we collect and use your personal information. In almost all cases, our processing of your personal information will fall into one of the following categories:

- You may have provided your consent to allow us to use your data in a certain way, such as signing up to receive emails from Daden Limited, subscribing to our newsletter or participating in a survey or poll, or receiving white papers and eBook. If the processing is based on your consent, you may at any time withdraw your consent by following the unsubscribe link in the emails we send you or by emailing unsubscribe@daden.co.uk and notifying us which services you wish to unsubscribe from.

- The processing of your personal information is necessary to carry out the performance of a contract with you, such as access to Fieldscapes, Trainingscapes, Datascape or any other products or services which we provide, including informing you of the introduction of new features, service updates, outages, usage reports and alerts, managing your account and trouble-ticket handling. Note that this may also include the management of student and employee details which you provide to our system on behalf of your students and employees in order for them to access the system (although we will not typically email them directly). 

What information do we collect?

For a better experience while using our Services we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to user name, address, organisation, location etc. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy. The Services do not typically use third party services that may collect information used to identify you. 

Daden collects information in several ways from different parts of our Web site and Services.

Email

Daden collects your e-mail address when you register as a user, request a document, or register for our newsletter. We may from time to time use it to send you announcements about our services, but these announcements will be no more frequently than every month.

Personal Information

In addition to the information we collect when you register, we may ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you sign up to a chargeable service, when you request a document, when you enter promotions or contests, when you respond to a survey or when you fill out a contact form. For example, when you sign up to a chargeable service, we collect several items of personal information, including your billing and shipping address, telephone number, credit card information, and any other information necessary to complete the transaction. In addition we may capture “lifestyle” data such as household income, occupation etc.

IP Address

 

We also collect IP addresses for system administration and to report aggregate information to our suppliers, sponsors and advertisers.

In addition our chatbots may collect,or be given, a wide variety of information, some personal, as part of their conversations with you. Basic data such as name and email address we may use to contact you, either by chatbot or human. Other personal data that you provide will only be used by the chatbot in future conversations with you. 

Log Data

 

Whenever you use our Services in case of an error in the app we collect data and information called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your devices’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the app when utilising our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Wherever Daden collects personal information, we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

 

What information do parties other than Daden collect?

Some advertisers or Web sites that have links on our site may collect personally identifiable information about you when you access or utilize those links. Daden does not control the collection or use of such information, and the practices of those advertisers and Web sites are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

What are “cookies” and how do we use them?

Cookies are small bits of data that are sent to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive. Your cookie may be set at various times during your interaction with our Web site. It is updated from time to time as you access the many different portions of our Web site. Each time you access our site, our server may deliver certain customized information to you based on the data stored in your cookie. The Services may use “cookies” explicitly in order to save your login details and preferences. In addition the Services may use third party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and to improve our services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies, and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. What do we do with the information we collect?

Daden’s primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide you, the user, with the best experience on our Web site. The information we collect may be used to provide such capabilities as personalization services, interactive communications, online shopping, and drive the development of new features. We may also use the information to estimate the size of our audience and measure certain traffic patterns, to notify you and track the progress and number of entries in our promotions and contests, to track visits to and business conducted at our online store, to notify our visitors about updates to our Web site, to contact you for marketing purposes, and less likely but conceivably to contact you on behalf of certain third parties and deliver targeted advertisements that may be of interest to you.

With whom do we share your information and for what purpose?

 

Since we make use of third party providers to deliver some of our services, we may need to share basic technical information with them, or use them to pass information between Daden and yourself during the operation of a service. In particular we make use of companies in the USA (e.g. Oddcast Inc for text-to-speech and Exit Games for the Photon MMO server).

 

We may conceivably use personal information explicitly provided by you to help provide you with relevant information on products and services from specially selected third parties, or sell or trade this information to specially selected companies who may also be able to provide you with relevant products and services- although we currently have no plans to do so.

 

In addition, when you make a purchase through our online store, or sign up to receive promotional items from us, we may share some of your personal information with third parties helping us to complete your transaction or send you the items you signed up to receive. When we share your information with such third parties, we will work to ensure that only the information necessary to complete your transaction is disclosed.

When one or more of our business partners co-sponsor a service, promotion and/or contest, we may collect and share additional information in connection with that service, promotion or contest with the co-sponsor(s). If we intend to share such information, you will be notified prior to the collection of that information. If you do not want your information to be shared, you will be able to choose not to allow the transfer by not using or signing up for that particular service, promotion or contest.

Children’s Privacy


Fieldscapes may be used with students under 13 and we have designed the system so thta it may be used safely by them, and they will only encounter other students from their class when on-line. Any personal identifiable information from children under 13 held by the Fieldscapes management system is not used by us for any other purpose than delivering the Fieldscapes service, and is not routinely accessed by our staff.

By using our Web site or any of our applications or services, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by Daden Limited as outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Your Rights


You are in control of how we use your data.

  • Access: You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. Any access request may be subject to a fee to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

  • Rectification: You have the right to change your personal information if it is inaccurate.

  • Erasure: You have the right to request the deletion or removal of your personal information if it is no longer necessary for us to hold it for the purposes for which we are processing it.

Updating or deleting personally identifiable information


The accuracy of your individual information is important to us. You can update or delete your personal information, update your subscriptions or change your consent to receive email by following the link in any email we send of by contacting us at privacy@daden.co.uk. We will abide by requests to have personally identifiable information deleted from our records, except in cases where retention of that information may be required by law (such as records of donations for which you may have received a charitable deduction from your taxes).
